Job Title: SEN Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced SEN Support Worker to join our team at a secondary school in Swinton. The successful candidate will work in a small classroom setting, supporting pupils with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation, ensuring that pupils receive a tailored education.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Administer medication and provide personal care as required.
  • Participate in Moving and Handling training and use Hoists and PEG feeding equipment as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of health and social care principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and a valid UK Right to Work permit.
