We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at an outstanding mainstream primary school in Swindon. As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and pupils in managing their behaviour and providing additional support where needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in general teaching activities, including preparing the classroom for lessons and providing one-to-one support to pupils who require additional help.
  • Monitor behaviour and provide feedback to the teacher, promoting a positive and proactive approach to classroom management.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
  • Some personal care duties may be required.
