CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to present an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Strategic Financial Director to join a leading, long-established organisation in Hampshire. As a key member of the leadership team, you will work closely with the CEO to drive expansion and optimise profitability.

**Job Summary:**

This is a strategically crucial role that requires a commercially astute Finance Executive to oversee all aspects of the company, including sales, engineering, customer services, and maintenance. Your primary objective will be to ensure the business operates efficiently, maximising sales effort and delivering required returns on investment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversight of a team of circa ten finance personnel, ensuring progression and development within the finance function, and supporting the Financial Controller
  • Developing an ambitious strategy with the Executive and Operational Board to drive company performance and profitability
  • Acting as the first line for all regulatory and legal requirements, working with advisors as needed
  • Leading external relationships with banks, accountancy, and audit firms
  • Playing a critical role in M&A activity, future investments, or transactions
  • Overseeing and driving the back-office support function (Business Support) in areas like IT, HR, Fleet, ISO, and data analytics

**Ideal Candidate Profile:**

We are seeking a highly experienced CFO or Finance Director, preferably from the IT hardware, industrial equipment supply, manufacturing, or asset rental sectors. A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 5+ years' post-qualification experience is essential. Strong financial and corporate finance knowledge, with experience in fundraising or seeking external investment, is highly desirable.
