Job Title: Assistant Manager

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Location: The Ullswater Inn, located in a beautiful setting with stunning views of Helvellyn in the heart of the Lake District.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team at The Ullswater Inn. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the inn, ensuring excellent customer service delivery, and contributing to the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in the overall management of the inn, including staff supervision, customer service, and administrative tasks.
  • Manage and motivate a team of staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve Company Standards.
  • Liaise with Chefs, Hotel Management, and Suppliers to ensure smooth operations and high-quality products.
  • Conduct stocktakes, order supplies, and manage accounts.
  • Support the General Manager in implementing new initiatives and improving existing processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a busy pub environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a warm and welcoming experience for guests.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage operations, including stock control and inventory management.
