Reception Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent Reception Teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Maidstone.

The children are hardworking, caring, inquisitive, and imaginative, and our staff aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide pastoral care to children in their first steps in Early Years Foundation Stage, promoting teamwork and a conducive learning environment.
  • Teach the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to groups of children, focusing on individual learning targets, encouraging strengths, and improving weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Monitor children's progress and report back to parents.

  • Our school is a 4-form entry school located in a lovely residential area of Maidstone.
  • We welcome early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms and prioritize academic excellence and well-rounded, confident pupils.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications (experienced teachers and ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Ability to commute to Maidstone via public transport.
  • Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.
