Reception Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Maidstone. As a Reception Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our young students, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to groups of children, focusing on individual learning targets and encouraging strengths and improvement.
  • Develop maths ability by introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry, and help children develop their writing skills by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.

  • We are a 4-form entry school located in a lovely residential area of Maidstone, offering a friendly environment that welcomes early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms.
  • We aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through our supportive pastoral environment, in addition to academic excellence.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply)
  • Ability to commute to Maidstone via public transport
  • Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies
