School Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Practitioner to join our Camden Mental Health Support Team (MHST). The successful candidate will work closely with schools, families, and children to provide early intervention and support for mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct MHST assessments and provide individual therapy, group work, and whole-school delivery of mental health promotion and wellbeing projects.
- Liaise with schools, GPs, local authorities, and other CAMHS teams as required.
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor and MHST Managers to develop and implement whole-school approaches to mental health.
- Encourage child participation and student voice in service delivery.
- Deliver time-limited interventions and treatments, and signpost to cross-sector stakeholders.
- Attend regular MHST meetings and CAMHS multidisciplinary meetings as required.
- Formulate MHST care plans for service users in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of client groups and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team activities and engage with internal and external networks as appropriate.
- Education to graduate level or equivalent.
- Child Wellbeing Practitioner or Educational Mental Health Practitioner qualification.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in the field of children and young person wellbeing.
- Experience of working with children and young people, and communicating effectively with a wide range of client groups.
- Awareness of Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult requirements.
- Ability to work flexibly and demonstrate knowledge of risk/safety issues.
