About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Practitioner to join our Camden Mental Health Support Team (MHST). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental health support to children and young people in schools and other community settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide MHST assessments to children and young people allocated to your caseload.
  • Liaise with schools, GPs, local authorities, and wider CAMHS teams as required.
  • Work with your clinical supervisor and MHST managers to develop and implement mental health interventions.
  • Encourage child and young person participation and student voice.
  • Deliver time-limited interventions and treatments.
  • Signpost to cross-sector stakeholders.
  • Attend regular MHST meetings and CAMHS multidisciplinary meetings as required.
  • Formulate MHST care plans for service users in collaboration with your clinical supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain accurate clinical records.

Requirements

  • Education to graduate level or equivalent.
  • Child Wellbeing Practitioner or Educational Mental Health Practitioner qualification.
  • Experience of working with children and young people.
  • Ability to work flexibly and autonomously.
