About the Role
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy for marine insurance products.
  • Manage a portfolio of marine cargo insurance accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated team, setting objectives and driving performance.
  • Prepare, present, and manage insurance proposals, endorsements, and renewals.
  • Conduct risk and insurance program reviews, recommending cost-effective solutions.
  • Design, build, and implement comprehensive risk and insurance programs.
  • Identify emerging client needs to inform new product and service development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and mitigate errors or omissions.
About You
  • Degree in Business Management or related field; Associate or Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior account management role, with business development experience.
  • At least 2 years in a team leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in customer relationship management, consulting, and project management.
  • Analytical, consultative, and solution-oriented approach to client needs.
  • High-level knowledge of general insurance products and FCA compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • English proficiency (additional European languages preferred).
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time.
What We Offer

A competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, plus bonus scheme, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, 2 volunteering days, life assurance, private health insurance, contributory pension plan, and Route 2 Rewards scheme.
