Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapist; Cardiac Rehabilitation

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in physiotherapy, with a focus on cardiac rehabilitation and cardio-thoracic surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with diverse presentations and complex physical conditions.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, undertaking specialist clinical duties as required within a defined specialist clinical area.
  • Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver physiotherapy services to patients within a defined specialist clinical area.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to physiotherapists, students, and non-registered staff.
  • Contribute to service development and quality initiatives, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and experiences.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • Specialist training/courses to Postgraduate Diploma level.
  • Significant post-registration experience in the specialist area of Cardio-thoracic surgery, Cardiology, and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
  • Active involvement in service development and quality initiatives.
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision.
  • Highly developed physical skills relevant to Cardio-Thoracic surgery and Cardiology.
  • Excellent communication skills with healthcare professionals and the public.
  • Adaptive/flexible team player.
  • Confident with digital technology platforms/apps.
  • Specialist physiotherapy knowledge in the clinical area.
  • Evidence of relevant post-graduate training courses.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety/clinical risk management.

Personal Qualities:

  • Shows resilience under pressure and proactively manages own wellbeing.
  • Demonstrate an interest and/or skill set in service development/service planning.

Working Arrangements:

  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Participate and experience in Emergency respiratory rota (if applicable to role).
  • Able to travel, in a timely manner to meet the requirements of the job, this may include cross-site working or various locations, carrying sensitive information and bulky equipment (if applicable to role).
