Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapist in Rehabilitation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our team in the Acute Stroke ward at the University Hospital of Wales. As a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy to patients following admission with stroke.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a clinical case load, undertaking specialist clinical physiotherapy duties predominantly based within the specialist area.
  • Plan and deliver education and specialist training to staff.
  • Operateally manage a team, providing expert advice in your clinical field.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner and undertake specialist clinical physiotherapy duties.
  • Act as an expert for Physiotherapists and other members of the multi-disciplinary team within this specialist field.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Specialist training/courses to Postgraduate Diploma level.
  • Evidence of M level learning or relevant higher-level qualification and experience.
  • CSP membership.
  • Masters level qualification or equivalent.
Desirable Skills:
  • Highly developed physical skills relevant to the post.
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced level of clinical skills within the specialist field.
  • Ability to communicate with healthcare professionals and the public including people with communication difficulties.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Personal responsibility for learning and development.
  • Quality Improvement & research methodology.
  • Competent IMT.
  • Effective Presentation Skills.
Working Arrangements:

This role requires a flexible approach to working hours and the ability to work under pressure. You will be required to travel to different locations and work with a range of stakeholders.
