Saffron Housing is seeking a talented Employee Relations Advisor to join our team. This exciting opportunity involves delivering a professional and effective people advisory service to managers and colleagues, ensuring an excellent customer experience.

The role requires promoting delivery of EDI and wellbeing approaches, building associated capability and confidence in managers, and advising leaders on organisational performance framework implementation.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree-level education or equivalent experience
  • A minimum Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of commitment to continued professional development

Additionally, they will possess:

  • Demonstrable HR advisory experience with an employee relations background
  • Experience in supporting people change processes
  • Coaching hiring managers on recruitment, selection, and onboarding approaches
  • Designing and delivering learning programmes to enhance manager capability
  • Identifying and implementing pragmatic EDI approaches and/or wellbeing solutions
  • Working in a unionised environment
  • Working in the housing sector

Requirements also include:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with impact and proactively build collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Ability to challenge decisions and actions appropriately and ensure transparency in communication and decision-making
  • Ability to coach managers, enable conflict resolution, and build trust
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to use data to convey key messages
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and people systems such as HRIS and ATS
  • Proven problem-solving and situational decision-making ability

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £38,000 per annum, based on national averages and industry standards.
