Dedicated Care Assistant

Christ the King Residential Care Homes is seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
About the Role
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £10.75-£11.40, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to start or advance their career in care.
In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will be responsible for supporting residents with challenging behaviors, promoting positive behavior management, and developing individualized service plans to meet their unique needs. You will also participate in the training and development of service users, empowering them to develop new skills and independence.
Your Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities as a Support Worker will include:
* Supporting residents with challenging behaviors, using approved approaches learned through training
* Assessing individual residents' needs and developing personalized service plans in conjunction with senior staff
* Participating in the allocation of places based on compatibility and resource implications
* Reviewing and updating service plans to ensure they remain up-to-date and aligned with individual needs
* Implementing and recording individual service plans, ensuring accurate documentation and communication
* Offering individual support when necessary and referring to senior staff for specialist support when required

Requirements
To be successful as a Support Worker, you will need to have:
* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Care
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
* A strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support, with a patient and empathetic approach
