Transport Operations Coordinator

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to contribute to the success of our Transport team at our Rugby site. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 4 on 4 off days. Salary - £29,700. Location – Rugby.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
- Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple sites across the UK.
- Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out bases.
- Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
- Planning collections per day on a time-critical basis.
- Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPIs.
- Proactively looking for continuous improvements.
- Being able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
- Having a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
- Efficiently utilising the Culina Group network in support of Stobart's when volumes dictate.
Requirements:
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Work, and Outlook.
- CPC desirable but not required.
- Experience of planning 100+ tractor units across multiple depots.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
- Customer focus on delivery performance.
- Commercially and financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
- Experience of using a TMS system.
- Experience in an FMCG environment.
- Strong analytical and Excel capability across standard formulas.
