Job Summary

We are seeking an Intermediate Designer to provide design support in project administration, design development, and contract documents. The successful candidate will work closely with senior designers and project managers to deliver high-quality interior design projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior designers in completing technical drawings and developing design ideas.
  • Provide a preliminary review of engineering drawings to ensure compliance with the design solution.
  • Assist in selecting fixtures and finishes, and develop preliminary space plans at a high level.
  • Research and collect details for furniture and finishes cost estimates.
  • Develop preliminary plans and assist senior staff with verification of site details to support design.
  • Assist in field surveying of client spaces and compile pricing from manufacturers and representatives.
  • Support the team in collecting information for client assessment and develop skills working with Affinity program tools.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an architecture, interior architecture, or interior design program.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience, with 3+ years' experience in corporate workplace and hospitality interior design projects.
  • Advanced Revit and Adobe Creative Suite abilities.
  • Detailed experience of concept design and familiarity with suppliers.
  • Detailed experience of construction documentation and coordination with engineers.
  • Right to work in the UK and availability to work in the office at least 3 days a week.

Desirable Skills

  • Working knowledge of design principles and aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with space planning methodology and furnishings and finishes.
  • Intermediate sketching and rendering skills.
  • Familiarity with building systems, codes, and accessibility requirements.
  • Basic Affinity Program skills and advanced Enscape skills.
  • Client-facing and professional with intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
