Interior Designer

At IA Interior Architects, we're seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our London studio. As an Intermediate Designer, you'll play a key role in providing design support, primarily in project administration, design development, and contract documents.

Key Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with senior designers to complete technical drawings and develop design ideas

• Work with the design team to ensure engineering drawings comply with design solutions

• Assist senior designers in selecting fixtures and finishes, and develop preliminary space plans

• Provide suggested details for interior design projects, and research and collect details for furniture and finish cost estimates

• Develop preliminary plans, and assist senior staff with verification of site details to support design

• Assist in field surveying of client spaces, and compile pricing from manufacturers and representatives

• Support the team in collecting information for client assessment, and may attend interviews and provide documentation support

Qualifications:


• Graduate of architecture or design school

• 3+ years' experience in corporate workplace and hospitality interior design projects

Requirements:


• Working knowledge of design principles and aesthetics

• Familiarity with space planning methodology, furnishings, and finishes

• Intermediate sketching and rendering skills, and working knowledge of CDs and procedures

• Familiarity with building systems, codes, and ADA requirements

• Advanced Revit skills, and basic Affinity Program skills

• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills, and basic presentation and graphic communication skills
