Job Description:

We are seeking an Intermediate Designer to join our London studio. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of senior designers and project managers to provide design support in project administration, design development, and contract documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete technical drawings at the direction of senior designers
  • Develop design ideas in collaboration with the design team
  • Review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with the design solution
  • Assist senior designers in selecting fixtures and finishes
  • Develop preliminary space plans under supervision
  • Provide suggested details for interior design projects
  • Research and collect details for furniture and finishes cost estimates
  • Develop preliminary plans
  • Assist senior staff with verification of site details
  • Assist in field surveying of client spaces
  • Compile pricing from manufacturers and representatives

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an architecture, interior architecture, or interior design program
  • 3-5 years of related work experience
  • 3+ years' experience in corporate workplace and hospitality interior design projects
  • Experience working on projects in the UK and/or EU
  • Advanced Revit abilities
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite abilities
  • Detailed experience of concept design and familiarity with suppliers
  • Detailed experience of construction documentation and coordination with engineers
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Availability to work in the office at least 3 days a week

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of design principles and aesthetics
  • Familiarity with space planning methodology
  • Familiarity with furnishings and finishes
  • Intermediate sketching and rendering skills
  • Familiarity with building systems, codes, and accessibility requirements
  • Basic Affinity Program skills
  • Advanced Enscape skills
  • Client-facing and professional
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic presentation and graphic communication skills
