Job Title: Finance and Operations Assistant

Lepra is a leading organization dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences. We are seeking a highly skilled Finance and Operations Assistant to join our team in Colchester, Essex.

About the Role

This is a part-time (up to 28 hours per week) temporary (6 months) position that will play a critical role in supporting our Finance and Operations team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance & Operations Director, Finance Manager, HR & Executive Support Assistant Manager, and Finance & Administration Lead to ensure the smooth operation of our finance and HR functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance and Operations team, including coordinating office moves and facilities operations.
  • Act as a point of contact for office queries from tenants and coordinate necessary contractors.
  • Log all donations on our CRM system, including gift aid administration.
  • Assist with payroll support, setting up induction training, and arranging travel and accommodation for colleagues and visitors.
  • Liaise with universities regarding intern/volunteer recruitment.
Requirements
  • Graduate level or up to A' Level with relevant work experience.
  • CIPD or Finance qualification.
  • At least two years' experience of Finance, HR administration, or both.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working Hours and Location

Part-time (up to 28 hours per week). Temporary (6 months). Hybrid working arrangement with a base in Colchester, Essex.
