About the Job

Norfolk County Council is seeking an experienced and caring professional to fill the role of Intensive Support Worker. In this position, you will provide vital guidance and support to children and families, helping them to build stronger, more resilient communities.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing targeted interventions to promote safety and well-being among children and families. You will work closely with Social Workers and Family Practitioners to ensure a coordinated approach to support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted interventions to address the needs of children and families, promoting safety and well-being.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify areas requiring support and develop tailored plans to address these needs.
  • Build strong relationships with children, young people, and their families, fostering trust and confidence.
Requirements
  • Minimum NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience providing services for children and young people, and their families.
  • Proven experience in working directly with children and families, with a strong understanding of child development from birth to 19.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
