About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Bootle, United Kingdom. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu plans and food preparation strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and delivered on time, maintaining the highest levels of food safety and hygiene.
  • Oversee kitchen cleanliness and maintenance, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the training and development of junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring efficient ordering and stock control.
  • Assume leadership of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of kitchen management and leadership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on menu innovation and development.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred), with a strong understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene protocols.
