About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Bootle, United Kingdom. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu plans and food preparation strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and delivered on time, meeting the expectations of our discerning customers.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Contribute to the training and development of junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring efficient ordering and stock control.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on presentation and flavor.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred), with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
