Operations Director

TalentPool Executive is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our manufacturing and supply chain operations in East London.
The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain activities, managing production, engineering, warehousing, and health & safety. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team of 30+ employees and ensure the production schedule and business objectives are met.
The Operations Director will also be responsible for implementing lean manufacturing principles, reducing stock holding, and optimizing capital. Additionally, they will identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve systems, and report to the board on progress towards business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 30+ employees across the manufacturing facility and warehouse operations
- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain activities, including production, engineering, and warehousing
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce stock holding and optimize capital
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve systems
- Report to the board on progress towards business goals
Requirements:
- Senior level experience within onsite food and/or drink manufacturing and supply chain
- Strong knowledge of production, engineering, and supply chain
- Strategic thinker with strong numerical and commercial focus
- Excellent people management and leadership skills
- Experience in budgeting and driving company-wide KPIs
- Strong background in BRC standards, health & safety, and environmental management
