Operations Director

TalentPool Executive is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our manufacturing and supply chain operations in East London. As a key member of our team, you will oversee end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain activities, ensuring the production schedule and business objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of 30+ employees across the manufacturing facility and warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with BRC standards, maintaining AA rating and health & safety regulations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve systems, implementing lean manufacturing principles.
- Report to the board on progress towards business goals.
- Restructure business activities to increase speed and efficiency.
- Implement lean management to reduce stock holding and optimize capital.
- Research cost-saving opportunities across the business.
- Develop leadership and coaching programs to enhance team effectiveness.
- Oversee order fulfillment and production scheduling.
- Ensure inventory management, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance.
- Senior level experience within onsite food and/or drink manufacturing and supply chain.
- Strong knowledge of production, engineering, and supply chain.
- Strategic thinker with strong numerical and commercial focus.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Experience in budgeting and driving company-wide KPIs.
- Strong background in BRC standards, health & safety, and environmental management.
- Strong commercial awareness and business improvement mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – from warehouse, production through to the senior board and investors.
