Peterborough City Council is launching its innovative Social Work Academy to support Newly Qualified Social Workers and International Social Workers. The Academy will provide a time-limited reduced caseload, enabling them to transition to their allocated social work teams, fully supported to become skilled and confident practitioners. The Academy will also facilitate service-wide learning and development, implementing and embedding our practice model.
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to support our newly qualified social workers and international social workers while based in the Social Work Academy. You will be co-allocated work with our NQSW to support their professional confidence and development with social work that requires statutory intervention, or to help think and plan assessment and intervention that may require more complex analysis.
You must be passionate about improving outcomes for children and enjoy sharing your knowledge to support newly qualified social workers. You will be a reflective practitioner, with a value base of working relationally within a safeguarding context. Peterborough City Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
