Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced Intensive Care Deputy Lead Nurse to join our Critical Care Service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Lead Nurse to provide leadership and management across our three ICU sites.

Job Overview

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can inspire and motivate our nursing staff to deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients. The successful applicant will have experience in improving projects, leading and developing a team, quality assurance, and trust-wide initiatives.

Main Duties:
  • Support the Lead Nurse in the operational management of the ICU service across three hospital sites.
  • Lead, manage, and support nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care is delivered in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expert advice to staff, ensuring patient care is safe, compassionate, and person-centred.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the NHS Framework.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of nursing staff, including mentorship, training, and performance reviews.

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration and be willing to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
