About the Role

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills & Employability sectors.

We are currently seeking an experienced Health and Social Care Assessor to join our team, working with learners in Gloucestershire. As an Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care at Level 5, including Functional Skills Maths and English to level 2.

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, for a 4-day week. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company, offering a full-time salary for a compressed hours role.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care at Level 5
  • A recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA
  • Occupational competency in Health and Social Care (Elderly) at Management level
  • A good level of ICT skills
  • Confidence in delivering Maths and English Functional Skills
  • The ability to conduct online remote assessments and face-to-face when required
  • A full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle
  • Flexibility with travel

Your Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and supporting learners working towards Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care at Level 5, including Functional Skills Maths and English to level 2
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted
  • Organising and maintaining documentation on learners' progress
  • Supporting, advising, and motivating learners
  • Overcoming barriers to learning and adapting delivery to meet learner needs
  • Meeting Assessor KPIs in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork, and general administration
