About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer to join our team at The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer in Sport and Leisure, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and training to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching and learning materials for a range of courses and levels.
  • Support and guide students to achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and innovative teaching practices within the Programme Area.
  • Participate in marketing and promotion activities for the Programme Area.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Sport or a related subject.
  • Level 2 qualification in maths and English.
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
  • Successful experience of providing training, assessing, and/or education to young people and/or adults.
  • Up-to-date industry-standard vocational skills and commitment to continue to maintain them.
  • Ability to teach across a range of related vocational areas and learner levels.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Recent experience of working in the relevant industries.
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to make a positive contribution to the team, valuing and respecting others' expertise and contribution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face-to-face, on the telephone, and in writing.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines.
