CareTech Group: Seeking a Dedicated Support Worker

Salary: £11.92 - £12.54 per hour, plus a £30 sleep-in payment and 1.25x overtime pay.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Residential Care Worker at CareTech Group. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for young people aged 7-18 who have experienced trauma and exploitation.

About the Role:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young individuals during challenging times
  • Foster ambition and encourage young people to achieve their goals and reach their full potential
  • Support educational pursuits and help young individuals develop essential life skills
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports for planning meetings and reviews
  • Empower young people to make informed decisions about their lives and future
  • Act as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion
  • Encourage community engagement and participation in off-site activities
  • Meet the needs of children and young people by organising social activities, managing household tasks, and promoting independence

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
  • A full UK driving license is preferable
  • No prior experience is necessary; commitment and passion for working with young people are essential
  • Attendance at a 2-week training programme is required
  • Availability for sleep-in shifts is necessary
