Job Description:

Portfolio Payroll is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth processing of high-volume monthly payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Collate all necessary information and documentation for payroll processing.
  • Provide excellent customer service by serving as the primary point of contact for internal payroll queries.
  • Process data from Time & Attendance systems and compile reports.
  • Administer starters and leavers, including pension administration.
  • Manage the payroll email inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Audit sickness reporting, maternity/paternity leave, and other statutory leave entitlements.
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager to review, edit, and approve timesheets and attendance records.
  • Compile data from multiple sites and build strong working relationships with managers.
  • Support employee understanding of payslips and deductions, and calculate future payments as required.
  • Calculate statutory payments such as sickness, maternity, and paternity leave, and holiday balances manually.
  • Effectively resolve payroll queries.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office, Excel, and Time & Attendance systems.
  • Excellent excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Good numerical skills and logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledgeable about UK payroll legislation.
  • Able to complete manual calculations and deal with queries.

Salary Estimate: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
