Job Overview

Wood Mackenzie Limited, a global data and analytics business for the renewables, energy, and natural resources industries, is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Manager to join its growing Metals & Mining team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solution selling, account management, and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the global Metals & Mining Inside Sales team to retain and grow a large portfolio of accounts through delivering price uplifts on renewals (upsell) and winning new business deals with existing clients.
  2. Partner with the Global Head of Inside Sales on strategy and expansion plans for the team.
  3. Develop and execute sales growth and business plans in line with company expectations.
  4. Coach and mentor direct reports and the wider inside sales team on using core strategies and competencies.
  5. Assess individual performance, provide feedback, and suggest corrective actions as needed.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years sales experience with a good commercial track record in developing clients and establishing trusted advisor relationships.
  • Extensive experience in an Account Management role, ideally in the research subscription business.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Effective organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage own workload effectively.
  • Previous experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce would be an advantage.
