- The ideal candidate has a background in care or PE/Sports, bringing empathy and energy to their role, connecting with students and encouraging positive engagement.
- Support students academically and socially, helping them adapt to teaching methods and materials suited to their needs.
- You will assist with behaviour management and work in line with school policies to promote positive behaviour among students.
- Classroom discipline and feedback on students' progress are essential aspects of your job.
- You will work closely with the school's leadership and other support staff to provide the best care, educational support, and social guidance possible.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Special Needs Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred.
- At least six months of experience in a childcare, education, or SEN setting, ideally with students who have SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or other additional needs.
- A background in care or a previous experience in PE/Sports is highly desirable.
- Passionate about working with young people and ensuring barriers to learning are overcome.
Estimated salary for this role is £22,000 - £32,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
