About the Role

The Regional Engineer will be a key member of the Regional Technical team, responsible for providing technical expertise and support to coastal staff and volunteers. This role requires collaboration with counterparts in other regions to develop common ways of working, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to central governance and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide rapid and effective technical helpdesk support to coastal staff and volunteers.
  • Collaborate inter-regionally to develop common ways of working.
  • Ensure that the design intent of RNLI plant, equipment, and procedures remains in accordance with engineering design authority processes and standards.
  • Track and manage engineering assurance status report actions and progress resolution of issues.
  • Oversee strategic planning for maintenance and defect rectification using regional resources efficiently.
  • Plan and coordinate regional technical activities to ensure effective delivery of services.
