Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our specialist ASD team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical psychology services to children, adolescents, and their families.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the development and delivery of innovative psychological interventions for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will work closely with our experienced clinicians, therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans tailored to the needs of our service users.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality clinical psychology services to children, adolescents, and their families in a specialist ASD team, delivering both specialist diagnostic assessments and interventions.
  • To work as part of a team and also autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Trust's policies and procedures.
  • To provide advice and consultation on clients' psychological assessment and care to non-psychological colleagues and to other non-professional carers, providing teaching and supervision to other psychologists including Assistant Psychologists, Trainee Clinical Psychologists, and Graduate Clinical Associates.
Requirements
  • Completion of a BPS accredited postgraduate doctoral training course or equivalent in Clinical Psychology.
  • Registered with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience of psychological assessment and treatment of patients across the full range of care settings.
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of patient groups.
  • Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management.
