About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civilian Dental Practitioner to join our team at the Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services). As a key member of our primary health care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to service personnel and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and treat service personnel for dental health issues, following National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide comprehensive care and ensure the safe custody of personal sensitive data.
  • Manage surgery, documentation, and equipment to maintain a high standard of care.
  • Refer patients to specialists or consultants as needed.

Requirements

  • Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) and a minimum of 24 months post-graduate clinical experience in a primary dental care setting.
  • Ability to maintain evidence of clinical currency, with a minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week over the last 15 months.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
