Job Title: Senior Commercial Governance Specialist

Location: London/Bristol (Hybrid working)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Governance Specialist to join our team at CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial governance, with experience of managing commercial teams and developing commercial strategies.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in law/business studies/engineering/science/technology or similar at an equivalent qualification level.
  • Experience in sales and procurement commercial management, willing to work in both fields.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and draft contractual wording with a strong attention to detail. Experience of negotiating complex contract terms with suppliers and/or clients.

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a dynamic and growing company.

About the role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of commercial acumen and strategic thinking. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies, managing commercial teams and providing commercial support to bid teams. They will also be responsible for reviewing and approving proposals, prime and sub-contracts, ensuring adherence to company governance requirements and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyse and develop commercial strategies.
  2. Manage commercial teams, providing formal and informal support and development to team members.
  3. Provide commercial support to bid teams, including supporting the development of the commercial elements of tender responses and influencing early bid strategy.

Requirements:

  • Grasp of contract law.
  • Knowledge of contractual documents including NDAs, MOUs, teaming agreements, sub- and prime contracts used in a consulting environment.
