About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Income Officer to join our team at Bromford. As an Income Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive the support they need to manage their income and benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a patch of around 1000 homes, developing strong relationships with customers and providing guidance on benefits and income maximisation.
  • Offer advice and support to customers facing difficulties with rent payments, with a focus on tenancy sustainment.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to solve problems and deliver the best customer experience.
  • Develop solutions to complex customer issues, prioritising their individual needs and effectively negotiating repayment arrangements.
  • Utilise excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues and customers, providing a welcoming and inclusive service.
Requirements
  • Experience in a front-line customer-facing role within a general needs housing environment or a similar background relevant to income collection.
  • Understanding of housing benefit, universal credit, and welfare reform legislation.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good IT skills, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
