About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Income Officer to join our friendly and high-performing income management team. As an Income Officer, you will be responsible for income collection and providing guidance to customers on subjects like benefits and income maximisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a patch of around 1000 homes, developing strong relationships with customers.
  • Offer advice and support to those facing difficulties with rent payments, with a focus on tenancy sustainment.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to solve problems and deliver the best customer experience.
  • Develop solutions to individual customer needs, including effectively negotiating repayment arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a front-line customer-facing role within a general needs housing environment.
  • Understanding of housing benefit, universal credit, and welfare reform legislation.
  • Strong communication skills, with colleagues and customers alike.
  • Positive attitude and a consistent, engaged team player.
  • Good IT skills, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
