We are seeking an experienced and passionate teacher to work with sixth-form pupils aged 16-18, supporting those on the autistic spectrum across our school site and Solihull College.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience working in SEN settings. They should also have proven experience teaching pupils on the autistic spectrum, particularly those aged 16-18, as well as knowledge of autism-specific teaching strategies and approaches.

We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, estimated at £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on the successful candidate's background.

In this role, you will:

  1. Deliver individualised and innovative lessons to support the academic, social, and life skills development of sixth-form pupils.
  2. Plan and adapt curriculum content to meet the unique needs and aspirations of pupils on the autistic spectrum.
  3. Work collaboratively with colleagues at the school and Solihull College to ensure a consistent and seamless learning experience.
  4. Foster independence, preparing students for adulthood, employment, or further education.
  5. Build strong partnerships with families, carers, and external agencies to provide holistic support for each pupil.
