Job Title: Process Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Specialist to join our team in Leeds. As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing and improving industrial processes within the Transformer Fitting Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse current processes and implement improvements to boost performance.
  • Conduct time studies and analyse time spent on various shop floor operations.
  • Create routings for different product types or families.
  • Support the Production Planner by scheduling, releasing work orders, and ensuring all documentation is correctly uploaded in MRP/SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with Contracts and Engineering teams to ensure technical documentation is accurate and updated as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all industrial activities.
  • Update Contracts and Production teams on any changes or potential issues.
  • Lead LEAN workshops and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Attend relevant meetings to ensure efficient production flow and scheduling.
  • Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Regularly review and update MRP data, including job logins and operation confirmations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of LEAN methodologies
  • Proven track record of system and process improvements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to challenge and collaborate effectively with peers.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong continuous improvement capabilities and a 'can-do' attitude.
