Job Opportunity

You're ready to grow within your role and advance your career in software engineering at JPMorgan Chase. We're looking for an emerging member of our agile team to enhance, design, and deliver software components of our state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system.
  2. Write secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
  3. Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
  4. Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation.
  5. Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity.
  6. Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development.
  7. Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems.
  8. Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications

  1. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient in applied experience.
  2. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  3. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  4. Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages.
  5. Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.
  6. Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  7. Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  2. Exposure to cloud technologies.
