We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team at The Avalon Centre. As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating an activity-based culture that promotes social, recreational, and leisure activities for our service users.
Key Responsibilities- Co-ordinate social and recreational activities for service users within the secure environment.
- Obtain information from service users regarding their social and recreational interests.
- Observe and report on the general behaviour, ability, and response of service users.
- Document observations and progress in the service user's clinical notes.
- Fulfill security requirements and adhere to service policies and procedures.
- Conduct basic risk assessments and ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Basic group work skills.
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a mental health setting (desirable).
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Initiative and motivation.
- Awareness of mental health and its impact on functioning.
- Solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Good organisational skills.
- Awareness of gender-specific and cultural needs.
- Annual salary of £23,692.50 to £24,500.
- 33 days annual leave (inc Bank Holidays) plus birthday off.
