Manufacturing Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Essential Recruitment, you will be responsible for adhering to company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols. You will manage allocated projects through a structured, gated process from concept to production handover, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements and standards.
  2. Provide technical guidance to the business and flow down project requirements to suppliers, including tool and fixture manufacturing designs, machining requirements, drawings, and CAD models.
  3. Lead the selection and procurement of production tooling and equipment to support manufacturing processes.
  4. Support process validation for new and existing manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
  5. Prepare work instructions and standard operating procedures, and provide technical support to production departments as needed.
  6. Collaborate with the quality department to ensure manufacturing processes meet customer-specific requirements, standards, and specifications.

Manufacturing Engineer Experience and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a degree, HND, or equivalent in an engineering discipline, preferably aerospace or manufacturing engineering. You will also require a minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the aerospace or a highly regulated sector. Additionally, you should have excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to multitask and communicate technical data and specifications effectively.

Required Skills:

  1. Experience with CNC milling, turning, conventional machining, fusion welding, fabrication, and assembly.
  2. Proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite.
  3. Use of PFMEA/Control Plan tools and risk management techniques.
  4. Experience using CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
  5. Commercial awareness.
