Senior Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our Store Development Team in Peterborough. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of new stores, extensions, and modernizations of our existing store portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee construction projects in the East of England, ensuring the highest standards and deadlines are met.
- Liaise with internal and external parties throughout the project cycle, managing relationships with key collaborators.
- Work proactively to address potential obstacles and plan costs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with our corporate specification and internal procedures, as well as the highest standards of Health & Safety performance on all construction sites.
- Report on the progress of construction projects to the Senior team and manage budgets to control project costs.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in either Engineering or Construction.
- Proven experience in a Construction/Engineering related role.
- PC literate with strong Microsoft Office skills.
- A professional and refined negotiator with sound commercial acumen and judgment.
- Highly organized with a pragmatic and analytical approach.
- A strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- An excellent communicator who can communicate confidently with people at all levels of the business.
- A team player who can perform tasks independently using their own initiative.
- RICS, CIOB or MAPM accreditation is desirable or working towards qualifications.
- Experience in another retailer is desirable.
- Driving License is essential for this role.
