We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Document Controller to join our team in Nuneaton. As a key member of our water team, you will be responsible for implementing, developing, and operating our contract documentation and computer records.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the quality check process for documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Assist in creating and maintaining distribution lists, workflows, and review cycles to ensure seamless document management.
- Verify the accuracy of filenames before submitting electronic files to prevent errors.
- Record the reason for change when revising documents to maintain transparency.
- Collate and issue project/site start-up packs, ensuring all necessary documents are included.
- Manage change by processing documents correctly, making them available to the commercial team, and linking them to contract documents via CDE.
- Collate and issue handover documentation, including O&M manuals, H&S files, as-built records, and completion packs.
- Develop and train document controllers and assistant document controllers to ensure a high level of competence.
- Provide Aconex training to project staff within 5 working days of starting.
- Manage site scanning of documents and records, ensuring legibility and traceability.
- Assist with archiving documents, ensuring legibility and traceability.
- Working knowledge of Document Management Systems such as ProjectWise, Hummingbird, BIW, and Aconex.
- Flexible and can-do attitude, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
