The Role

We seek an exceptional Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team at PhysicsX Ltd.

In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our cloud engineering strategy, building and maintaining modern, cloud-native services, and enabling our teams to push the boundaries of AI and ML.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a self-service production Kubernetes cluster to run machine learning workloads in the cloud
  • Contribute to the development and execution of our cloud roadmap, adhering to industry best practices and ensuring cloud agnosticism for private cloud and on-premise environments
  • Collaborate closely with internal users and customers to understand technical requirements for projects and products
  • Apply and improve cloud engineering best practices and standards, supporting colleagues in their adoption
  • Implement and maintain modern observability tooling for debugging and improvement of workloads across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premise environments
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes cluster administration, including autoscaling and multitenancy within a cluster
  • Sound knowledge of cloud security and identity and access management, including principal of least privilege and vulnerability scanning
  • Good understanding of platform engineering paradigms, such as self-service infrastructure and GitOps
  • Familiarity with one or more cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Enthusiasm for using modern, cloud-native technologies and CNCF landscape projects and products
  • Familiarity with one or more programming or scripting languages, such as Golang, Python, Bash, etc.
