Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling the design and installation of outdoor canopies to schools and education establishments.

About the Role:

  • Selling manufactured range of outdoor canopies to schools and education establishments
  • Targeting contract catering, factory & warehousing, healthcare, offices, sporting venues etc.
  • Working closely with contractors that look after school academies, architects, NHS trusts, local authorities etc.
  • Meeting first year revenue target of £800,000, 2nd year target of £1m
  • Participating in marketing campaigns and generating leads from website enquiries
  • Benefitting from huge pipeline of projects worth over £1m and six to twelve appointments per week
  • Splitting time between being on the road and working from home or the office

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in field sales within the education sector
  • New business hunter with ability to ask for an order
  • Construction projects background would be ideal
  • Open to product background but preferably sold something associated to outdoor canopies such as playground equipment, street furniture, steel / timber systems, roofing, glazed systems, shelters etc.
  • Previous experience dealing with local authorities, architects or contractors not required
  • Preferably end user sales experience
  • High level of drive, energy, enthusiasm and self motivation

Estimated Salary: £38,000-£45,000 + £10,000-£20,000 uncapped bonus
