About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Nurse Manager to join our team at Willing Care. As a Unit Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for leading and directing the Nursing and Care team, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the Nursing and Care team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage rotas and staffing levels, ensuring sufficient cover at all times.
  • Recruit and retain high-quality staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional care.
  • Ensure all staff complete mandatory and required training, maintaining compliance with CQC and internal policies.
  • Carry out staff supervisions and appraisals, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Monitor and manage medication processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Complete audits and reviews, ensuring internal and external compliance.
Requirements
  • Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN)
  • Nursing Home experience essential
  • Active NMC PIN
  • Clear DBS
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Good working knowledge of CQC regulations
  • Proven track record of leading a Nursing team and delivery of person-centred care, including care planning
