Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Richardson Group. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for leading our restaurant team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong commitment to our company values and lead by example in terms of service standards, food quality, and presentation.
- Customer Service: Deliver a warm and welcoming experience for all guests, ensuring their expectations are exceeded in all areas of restaurant service delivery.
- Team Management: Work closely with the team to ensure guest expectations are always met, and provide coaching, training, and mentoring to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Food and Beverage Knowledge: Possess a strong knowledge of food, wines, bar, cooking techniques, and allergy requirements to ensure guests can be advised appropriately.
- Stock Control: Competently manage the ordering and control of stock items, ensuring minimal waste and optimal stock levels.
- Restaurant Presentation: Ensure the restaurant is consistently presented to a high standard, with a strong focus on quality, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with the kitchen team, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate the ability to deal with any guest or staff concerns, and provide solutions to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Previous managerial experience in a successful, vibrant, high-volume restaurant, preferably at a 4-star standard.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing) to effectively communicate with guests, staff, and suppliers.
- Exceptional Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Passion for Food and Beverage: A passion and strong knowledge for all things food and beverage, including ingredients, cooking methods, and dietary requirements.
- Leadership Skills: The ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high standards of customer service and food quality.
