Job Title: Evening Support Worker

Corus Consultancy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Evening Support Worker to join our team. As an Evening Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to vulnerable adults with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold a caseload of key clients and conduct regular key working sessions to develop outcome-focused support plans.
  • Produce comprehensive risk assessments and risk management plans to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Identify and report safeguarding concerns, and follow up on any necessary actions.
  • Promote activities that support recovery, including social activities, exercise, and healthy eating.
  • Support clients to identify housing options and overcome obstacles to moving into settled accommodation.
  • Participate in running activities or small groups to meet client needs or as part of a project-wide program.
  • Support clients ready to move into work, education, or training by assisting them to access suitable courses or placements.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults with complex support needs, including substance use, offending, mental ill health, and complex housing issues.
  • Working knowledge of supporting clients into supported accommodation, the private rented sector, or other move-on options.
  • Demonstrable understanding of Housing and related legislation.
  • Experience working with clients who may experience multiple disadvantages and have been rough sleeping or homeless.
  • Ability to effectively work with partner agencies and develop contacts and networks across local services.
  • Understanding of assessment and risk, planned support, key working, goal setting, and advocacy with vulnerable people.
  • Basic numeracy, literacy, and comprehension skills to input data and use common computer packages and databases.
