Job Description

In this role, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with the teaching team to develop and implement education plans tailored to the specific needs of each student.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a dedicated individual to provide support to students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Speech & Language Difficulties.

  • Develop strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide individualised support to students, adapting assistance to their unique needs and abilities.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social interaction and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement education plans developed by the teaching team, ensuring each student receives the necessary support to achieve their goals.
  • Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive support.
Requirements:
  • Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SLD and Speech & Language Difficulties.
  • A genuine passion for special education and a desire to support young learners in achieving their best.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding in providing support to children with diverse needs.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annumBirmingham Location

Suitable candidates should have relevant experience working in special education settings and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
